"Can we get this one?"

This, my friends, is what Adam was referring to when he called that out to me moments ago. I'm not sure if you can see well, but it's horse shoes welded together into patio furniture. Asking price? $200.

thanks, person on craigslist. While we can appreciate the hours put into this, we'll keep our two hundred dollars and look for clearance target specials.

Denver 2010

We went to Denver last weekend, from Friday to Wednesday, to visit Adam's family. (I apologize if the majority of the blogs you read are Ludwig blogs, because this will just be a repeat for you.) But we had a great time. It was so cool to see how much our nieces and nephew have grown up in the year since our last family vacation! We loved every sweet, sassy, toddler-esque thing they did. And it was great to see everyone else too! It's crazy to think that our family will have grown by 2 people (almost three) by the next time we see them.
Anyway, I posted a few of my pictures, and a few stolen ones from the family website, to show you a bit about our trip. For more, just look at Kirst, Jord, and Carla's blogs:)

Camping

Last weekend we went camping. Yup. you read it right. It was Adam and Me, Keje and Patrick, Jason and Emily, and all our dogs, Ellie, Kya, and Stetson. Here's some pictures to prove it, please ignore the blurriness.
It was better than last year (if you dont recall there was arguing, knat hatches, and meadow fields filled with morning dew last year). And I've determined that while I'd probably not ever be the one to suggest we go, now I know for sure that I could if everyone else wanted to. (I think I might have said that last year, but I was just being polite. I mean it this time:) ).

A Little Summertime Obsession

So Summer is finally here (I think) in CDA and Adam and I have been addicted to grilling. Let me clarify--I prep, he grills. But we've honestly grilled outside 4 out of 5 days that we've been home!

The Menu at the Ludwig house has gone like this:

1. BBQ Burgers with onion straws
2. Jamaican Jerk Chicken
3.Margarita Pizza
4. Orange Chipotle Glazed Chicken with yellow zucchini.

Good thing I married someone who LOVESSSS grilling. Now all we need is some cute patio furniture...

ps. Stetson seems to love grilling too:)

Celebrating finally getting there... a car, train, subway ride later.

Seems like everyone has had a hard time keeping up with their blogs lately, myself included. So there are some pictures that I've had (not many, and not really great ones--especially of myself, but putting pride aside, it's worth showing the people i love) from Philadelphia/NYC/Ocean City and of Stetson that needed to be posted. For more, or better ones, see the ones that Liz posted, or my family posted. I miss these guys.

Liberties

I dont know what it is, but people take liberties with my name ALL the time. My full name is Patricia, and I cant even begin to tell you the number of times people have decided that means my nickname must be Pat or Patty. I dont understand?
College professors and substitute teachers when taking role would inevitably get to me and say "Patty Palmer?" looking around the room. And typically I countered quickly with "you can call me Trish or Tricia" while all my friends giggled in the background. In fact one time, in high school, I had a teacher (a hot teacher, so i didnt mind) call me "patorpatty" for the entire semester just because I asked him not to call me either.

well friends... i'm here to tell you this name-taking-liberty still carries on. Below is an email from a client (names taken out to protect the innocent):

Thanks, Patty, for the reminder – I paid online.
Dear client and world, please dont call me Pat or Patty. You can spell my name wrong all day... but please, please, dont call me patty.
